2-day Simplified Technical English (STE) Training
May 23, 2012
How clear and consistent communication can help you save costs and improve your customer experience
Although technical documentation is often considered a ‘necessary evil’, since it is not a company’s core business, documentation is an important (and mandatory) part of your product.
Simplified Technical English (STE) is a method of writing that makes your technical and complex information easy to understand (globally). The adaptation of STE stimulates the (global) acceptance of technical documentation as it improves readability and translatability, and prevents misunderstandings and misinterpretations.
Etteplan | Tedopres organizes a 2-day training, in which you learn how to write technical English in a clear, concise and consistent way, which can result in these benefits:
- Reduction of translation costs up to 30% per language
- 40% reduction of words
- Shorter time-to-market
- Prevention of misinterpretation and therefore damage to cargo and people
- Optimized re-use of information
The training comprises lots of hands-on exercises, focusing on workarounds for common problems.
