Tedopres’ first customer in 1974 was the Dutch Ministry of Defense, and we have been supporting the defense industry’s technical documentation needs ever since.
Technical documentation forms an integral part in the military industry. Its contents should facilitate the efficient execution of operational and maintenance tasks, while complying with the highest quality and safety standards.
With decades of experience in complying with standards (both national and international), Tedopres has built up a wealth of knowledge to help ensure compliance with all requirements. Whether based on ASD (S1000D, Simplified Technical English – ASD-STE100), AQAP or ISO standards, Tedopres offers a wide range of standard-compliant SGML and XML solutions that are perfectly suited for ILS, LSA/LSAR and other logistic database integration.
S1000D, Simplified Technical English and other standards
Complex equipment, such as used in aircraft, include highly efficient maintenance, fault isolation, repair and inspection procedures. To facilitate this, military documentation needs to follow a strict structure (S1000D), in which the abilities and competences of end users and technicians need to be taken into account. By writing according to the Simplified Technical English specification (ASD-STE100), we ensure that the text is unambiguous and can be easily understood worldwide.
Tedopres’ in-house technical illustrators further assist with the creation of illustrations, which are produced according to applicable quality and safety standards. The illustrations are stored as building blocks so that they can be published in different ways.
Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
