Australian Aerospace implements HyperSTE for ASD-STE100 compliance
June 09, 2010
Australian Aerospace Limited (Australian Aerospace) is Australia-Pacific’s leading supplier of civil and military helicopters and aerospace services including fixed-wing military maintenance and support. The company is wholly owned by the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer Eurocopter, itself being part of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS).
In order to facilitate compliance of its technical publications with ASD-STE100 (the Simplified Technical English specification) as part of an S1000D requirement, Australian Aerospace has selected Tedopres' HyperSTE software.
As part of the implementation, Tedopres:
- Trained technical writers at Australian Aerospace on the writing rules of ASD-STE100.
- Build a controlled dictionary to allow for the consistent use of standardized Australian Aerospace terminology.
- Provided HyperSTE licenses. In addition to compliance with ASD-STE100, HyperSTE provides quality control on Australian Aerospace terminology, grammar and style.
Berry Braster, Sales & Marketing Director at Tedopres: "We are very pleased to welcome Australian Aerospace as one of our new customers in the Asia-Pacific region, and are looking forward to continue supporting them with their ASD-STE100 and other technical information needs."
